Selfridges looks forward to further celebrations to mark the 21st Birthday of Manchester Pride this year.
Fashion Guru Gok Wan returned to Liverpool ONE to film his new series of Gok’s Clothes Road Show. Gok and his travelling catwalk invited style-loving Liverpudlians to come and watch the runway shows and judge his fashion picks.
Bollywood glamour has arrived in Liverpool with the launch of a multi-million pound Indian restaurant. East Z East brought the sights and sounds of Asia to Liverpool’s King’s Dock in an evening filled with Indian jazz fusion music, tabla drummers, a flautist and fire eaters. The 13th annual Creamfields festival took place in Daresbury, Cheshire over August bank holiday weekend with a record 50,000 revellers flocking to this year’s show. The festival which sold out in record time, featured outstanding performances from headline acts such as David Guetta, Chemical Brothers, Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Tiesto and Example. Despite the rain over the weekend the crowd partied hard and made the event the most successful Creamfields to date.
The polo elite from around the world descended on Santa Barbara to celebrate this summer’s season of polo. With the 2011 season newly opened, Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club hosted a charity polo match to raise funds for The American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry. A donation was also made to Polo Training Center Santa Barbara. Taking part in the match was The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.
Tatton Park was honoured to receive His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan, Mr Keiichi Hayashi. Mr Hayashi visited Tatton Park’s historic Japanese garden, in celebration of 100 years since its introduction. There, he planted a tree to mark the occasion commemorating the centenary and in memory of the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami earlier this year.

The champagne was from the oldest Champagne House in the World, Ruinart, and served in the finest crystal glasses made by Riedel, and guests were treated to a wine tasting with a difference at the sumptuous evening.
